Innovation & Scale Forum (ISF) – Founder Roundtable & Stakeholder Dinner

1. Registration & Payment

1.1 A non-refundable declaration fee of ₦2,000 (Two Thousand Naira) is required to complete registration for the ISF Founder Roundtable or Stakeholder Dinner (collectively, "the Event").

1.2 This fee confirms seriousness of interest but does not guarantee a seat at the Event. All registrations are subject to manual review and selection by the ISF team.

1.3 If you are not selected to attend, the ₦2,000 fee is not refundable. The fee supports ISF's regional coordination and event administration costs.

1.4 Selected participants will receive a confirmation email within 10–14 days of registration. Unselected registrants will not receive individual notifications unless they request one.

1.5 By registering, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete. False or misleading information may result in disqualification without refund.

2. Selection & Attendance

2.1 ISF reserves the sole right to determine which registrants are selected to attend the Event. Selection criteria may include, but is not limited to: startup stage, geographic representation, sector diversity, ecosystem contributions, and alignment with ISF's strategic goals.

2.2 Selected attendees may not transfer their seat to another person without prior written approval from ISF.

2.3 ISF reserves the right to revoke attendance at any time for violation of these Terms or the Code of Conduct.

3. Sharing of Professional Profiles

3.1 By registering, you consent to ISF sharing your professional profile (including but not limited to: full name, role/title, organization name, startup stage, industry sector, state of operation, and stated areas of interest) with vetted ecosystem partners.

3.2 "Vetted ecosystem partners" includes potential investors, grant organizations, development finance institutions, policy bodies (including DAWN Commission), corporate innovation partners, and accredited ecosystem enablers who have signed a data protection and confidentiality agreement with ISF.

3.3 Your information will be shared for the purpose of facilitating access to capital, mentorship, policy engagement, and partnership opportunities.

3.4 ISF will not share sensitive personal data (bank details, government IDs, home addresses) or proprietary business information without separate explicit consent.

3.5 You may opt out of professional profile sharing by emailing privacy@isf.africa within 7 days of registration. Opting out will not affect your registration status.

4. WhatsApp & Electronic Communications

4.1 By providing your WhatsApp number, you consent to receiving occasional broadcast messages from ISF regarding:

4.4 Standard message rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier. ISF is not responsible for any carrier charges.

4.5 For urgent inquiries during the event, WhatsApp may be used as a primary communication channel. Your consent for broadcast messages does not authorize ISF to share your number with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Use of Insights and Ideas from the Event

5.1 The Founder Roundtable is a collaborative session designed to gather insights that will inform the Southwest Innovation & Startup Grant (SISG) and ISF's policy advocacy work.

5.2 By attending, you agree that ISF may document the session via notes, audio recording, or video recording for internal research, grant design, and policy advocacy purposes.

5.3 Individual ideas remain the intellectual property of the originator. ISF does not claim ownership over any idea, concept, or suggestion shared during the Event.

5.4 Any external publication of insights will be:

5.5 If ISF wishes to use a specific idea for a commercial or proprietary purpose (e.g., a patentable invention, proprietary software, or revenue-generating product), ISF will seek separate written agreement with the originator, including fair compensation or recognition terms, before doing so.

5.6 International policy exception: ISF may share anonymized, aggregated insights with international partners (e.g., French Embassy, development finance institutions) without your individual consent, provided no personal or business-identifying information is included.

Important clarification: You do not sign away your intellectual property by attending this Event. Your ideas remain yours. ISF only seeks permission to learn from you and apply those learnings to grant design — not to commercialize your ideas without your consent.

6. Photography, Audio, and Video Recording

6.1 By attending the Event, you grant ISF permission to take photographs and record audio/video of the session for:

6.4 Attendees are not permitted to record audio or video of the Event without prior written permission from ISF, except for personal note-taking.

7. Code of Conduct

7.1 All attendees must treat fellow participants, speakers, facilitators, and ISF staff with respect and professionalism.

7.2 Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Prohibited conduct includes but is not limited to:

7.3 ISF reserves the right to remove any attendee from the Event (in person or virtually) without refund for violation of this Code of Conduct.

7.4 Reports of violations can be made to conduct@isf.africa or directly to any ISF staff member. All reports will be treated confidentially.

8. Limitation of Liability

8.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, ISF and its partners, sponsors, and affiliates are not liable for any:

8.2 You attend the Event at your own risk. ISF recommends that attendees secure their own travel, health, and property insurance.

8.3 In jurisdictions that do not allow limitation of liability, ISF's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you (the ₦2,000 registration fee).

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ISF, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and partners from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

10. Data Privacy & Retention

10.1 ISF collects and processes your personal data (name, email, phone, state, role, organization, startup information) for the purposes of:

10.5 Data may be stored on servers located in Nigeria, Europe, or the United States, depending on the service providers used (e.g., Google Workspace, Paystack). By registering, you consent to such international data transfers.

11. Changes to Terms

11.1 ISF reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated to registered participants via email or WhatsApp at least 7 days before the Event.

11.2 The version in effect at the time of your registration governs your participation, unless legal or operational requirements mandate a change.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Oyo State, Nigeria.

Acknowledgment: By completing your registration and payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, including the sharing of your professional profile with vetted partners and receiving WhatsApp communications. You confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
